In 1 John 2:3-6, we explore the important distinction between how you can become a Christian, and how you can know that you have become a Christian. 

February 4th 2024 - Pastor James Tyler - 1 John 2:1-2 - "That you may not sin"

We pick up in 1st John 2, continuing to explore the outcome of forgiveness. 

January 28th 2024 - Pastor James Tyler - 1 John 1:8-10 - "On Self-Deception"

As we make our way to the end of chapter one, we consider the paradox of self-deception, and see how we can avoid falling prey to our own dishonesty. 

January 21st 2024 - Pastor James Tyler - 1 John 1:1-10

Today we review verses 1-7, and begin to touch on the ideas in verses 8-10, followed by a Lord's Supper devotional from Rick Perry. Please note that this series relies heavily on video, and we are still working out how to best capture our Sunday services so that you can catch up through our podcast. As we begin our series in 1 John and our congregational focus moves to "develop in community", we see that where we begin is paramount, since the foundation is formative in our priorities and determines the outcome of our church.

Today we consider the experience of Mary and Joseph in light of what they had been promised by the angel 9 months earlier. 

December 17th 2023 - Pastor James Tyler - Luke 1:46-80

For our third Sunday of Advent, we look at the themes which emerge from Mary's song, Elizabeth's faith, John's birth, and Zechariah's prophecy.
